THE LADIES OF AUDIOSMUT
Kaitlin Prest is obsessed with radio.
Her freelance work has been broadcast on NPR’s Snap Judgment, PRX’s Remix radio, Radiophonic Creation Day and was the winner of the 2010 NCRA award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary. She is dedicated to playful and intelligent public discourse about sex, and is excited by the idea of using radio journalism as an art form to do that.
Mitra Kaboli is a bedside poet who wants to bring smut to the masses. She grew up in Texas an then moved to Montreal to study creative writing. She has worked closely with Lickey Split smut zine and has been with Audio Smut since 2010.
Meg Frances is a published poet from the rural outskirts of Dallas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in Cultural Anthropology. As as undergrad, she brought the Women’s Interest Network, the only feminist organization on her private conservative campus, back from the dead. In response to the fact that reported rape on her campus had tripled in just a few years, she started a sex education style talk radio show called “Too Afraid To Ask”. She joined the Audio Smut NYC collective in 2011.
