A Bathhouse is a place people can go to publicly bathe—be massaged, steamed, washed, cleaned and…..NAKED. Because people have a hard time being naked without thinking of sex, bathhouses have traditionally also been spaces equipped with rooms to scamper off to with a new steam buddy. The all male bathhouse has long been a cultural institution for gay men—a public refuge to explore the bodies of other men in a space mostly safe from judging glares. In this show we hear about straight baths, gay baths, policy on public sex and police raids.
